Recently, I read somewhere (sorry, I can’t remember exactly where, in some magazine) that the actor James Franco loves cats. Lo and behold, apparently James Franco features cats in many of his videos – this one features him and his brother holding two of their cats at the end. He was also featured in the Chicago Meow blog’s “15 famous cat lovers.”
I just love this photo of Jeff (man) and Nick (cat). Jeff’s wife, Deb, describes Nick as Jeff’s “very best friend of twelve years.” She says, “From the day we went to the animal shelter and the staff opened the door to reveal the cages, it was love at first sight. Nick was a year-and-a-half old, and he and Jeff locked eyes, while the rest of us could practically hear the violins fill the air. Since then, they’ve been inseparable.” What a great pair! They remind me of my own household, where we also have a tuxedo cat and a man who are inseparable!

“Brian Chambers, Chris Berry and Aaron Shaw have adopted kittens they found while on duty – and sent them back to the States to wait for them with the marines’ families. Says Chambers, ‘At only 3 weeks old, their mother had disappeared and they were left alone to live rough and fend for themselves like the other cats in this area. We looked after them both and they lived in a box in the office, after a week they were allowed to roam around during the day and sleep with us in the hooch at night.’ “

Recently, my husband I saw the movie Get Him to the Greek, and I feel compelled to point out that the movie is full of cat-loving men! Not that the movie features cats or men loving cats in any way, but the star of the movie is noted ailurophile Russell Brand, and it also has a cameo by everyone’s favorite economist/cat-lover, Paul Krugman. But what about the movie’s other star, Jonah Hill? Well, I think this video of him frolicking with kittens proves he’s a cat-lover, too!
So, Menandcats.com gives this film two paws up for 1.) being very funny and highly entertaining and 2.) featuring several famous men who love cats!
Jeremy’s friend Hannah submitted some great photos of Jeremy with various cats. According to Hannah, “Jeremy is a very proud cat lover! I believe it is his mission to pet any cat he sees. He can’t help it, they just flock to him like he’s their mother! While he was studying in Buenos Aires, Argentina last summer, he collected an album full of just him petting street cats.” Pictured above is a photo of Jeremy with a friend’s cat in Argentina.
